Troo in Bengaluru – February 1st , 2025.
A children’s app popular in the bay area, USA wanted to launch their product in India and we were their storyteller partner! An amazing morning spent with the children and parents of Bengaluru, working through the magic of stories with the lead character in the app TROO! Collaborations like these leave you happy for it’s truly heartwarming to have your work noticed, appreciated and referred to across borders.
Scintillating Spring – February 1st, 2025.
It always is a wonderful experience to tell stories in one of the most beautiful bookstores in Bengaluru, Kahaani Box library. Our association with them goes a long way. The trees spoke, the bees danced and the flowers sung in this beautiful space along with the kids and their parents. Their “When are you coming back?” always leaves me beaming!
Vasanth Panchami Special Tales – February 2nd , 2025.
When Spring is here, it’s time to celebrate! Talescope travelled all the way to Jakkur with it’s bag of amazing stories to share stories around Spring from our folklore and Mythology. It was a beautiful moment to witness children and parents participating with enthusiasm singing, moving with us and making wonderful crafts that was a take away , a memento of the happy session!
Roots Story Circle – When Love is Alive , February 4th , 2025.
Our Monthly interaction with senior citizens for the last 10 years through the Silver Talkies forum has given rise to many lovely connections with senior citizens. This month saw us exploring Love in different times of our lives. The joy when you talk about the Binaca miniatures you collected as a child, giving that first rose to your crush, or the first vehicle you owned is immeasurable. The session ended with a note to self, to oneself too!
Mythology Marvels – Sacred Spring – February 8th , 2025.
The monthly event for children and families of Bengaluru, always has curious parents and children joining in to know more about “the something new” that we offer. This time it was the story of the “Nagalinga Flower”that left the children and adults speechless. A beauty to behold, children were amazed to touch, smell and soak in this nature’s amazing creation.
Performance Storytelling for Adults – Chennai Storytelling Festival – February 16, 2025.
This is Talescope’s 12th year in the Chennai Storytelling festival that brings in audiences from across the globe. To share a glimpse of India’s rich culture and heritage with the story enthusiasts from across the world is something that I would never miss for anything. The story of the Nagalinga Flower kept coming to me this spring and needless to say, the audience were spellbound when I showed them nature’s wonderful creation and that the flower is also native to South Africa. We all went back promising to find the story that is associated with the flower there. This is how stories bridge cultures, don’t you agree?
Kolam – A Journey Within – An immersive workshop for Adults – February 16, 2025.
The folklore surrounding a country talks a lot about the underlying values and the culture of it’s people. Kolam – the floor art that is practiced in Southern India is one such, These workshops are the result of my deep interest and research of the folklore from my land. Immensely glad to have had people from across the world join in and get fascinated by our culture as much as myself. There will be more of this workshop happening in Bengaluru. Story Express – Celebrating Indian Authors and Culture through stories , February 22nd , 2025.
Presidency early years, a school in South Bengaluru had Talescope enthrall children and parents of their school with amazing stories from the Indian repertoire on their special day . Looking forward to many more sessions with them.
