The month of March, marched by quickly with some exciting, engaging and meaningful projects for Talescope. Here is our Newsletter for you all.
Roots Story Treasures – Bonds Beyond Boundaries
A project very close to our hearts is the “Roots Story Treasures”, my unique engagement with the families of senior citizens, who wish to document the life story of the elders in the family for their younger generation. A project the went for almost 4 months, culminated in March as a beautiful Story treasure for Mrs. Usha Visvanath’s family, with beautiful story pearls strung into priceless treasures.
Stri Shakthi – Mythology Marvels
The monthly session for children and their families happened to fall on Women’s day this month and very aptly, stories of strong women from Indian Mythology were shared. A wonderful morning of stories that elicited beautiful stories of “ strong women” in our audience’s lives, was a fit end to the day.
Read India – In partnership with United Way Foundation
To reach a book in the hands of a child is the best way to a progressive future. Talescope was honoured to take part engaging and encouraging over 200 children of Brilliant Public School into reading through the art of storytelling. A well spent morning on a wonderful initiative.
Katha Sagara – An Ocean of stories
Telling stories to a receptive and the best audience – Children , is truly rewarding. Talescope was happy to have added drops to the ocean of stories as a spark in the minds of the children, parents and teachers of Presidency school.
Lores, Legends & Lullabies
A dive into our rich folklore, Talescope’s Workshop for adults on Lullabies, is a story based , engaging and participative workshop that helps one to explore lullabies on a personal level. To have mom and daughter attend the workshop and learn to write lullabies was the highlight of the day. Grateful.
Cisco – Corporate Engagement
Talescope was thrilled to be invited as a part of CISCO’s “ Adult Caregiver Engagement wing” for the “ Time out for Parents” day of the employees to rejuvenate and recharge them through stories in partnership with Silver Talkies. Who said stories are only for children? To see the seniors turn back to children again was indeed a blessing!
Story Potpourri – Celebrating 11 years of Talescope
What started off as something to keep me engaged in a happy way has now taken deep roots and grown into something that empowers people all over the world and it calls for a celebration isn’t? That’s exactly what we did! Story Potpourri was an event organized by Tale’scope to engage the wonderful story lovers of Bengaluru by bringing together people with amazing and unique storytelling styles. From Authors to theatre practitioners, the parents and children of South Bengaluru dived into the world of stories.
Sherringwood World School – Musical Extravaganza
It’s amazing to see your clients from other states remember and call you over and over again to enthrall their kids and parents with unique styles of telling that Talescope gives to people.
This time the children, parents and teachers of Indore were enthralled with an Oral storytelling tradition from South India, Villupaatu! Well true to the saying, “Stories and Music only acted as bridge connecting the different states of India”
Mann Vaasanai – Bilingual Online Storytelling Sessions
As a storyteller who wishes to connect to people across the globe using tales, it only is right of me to pay heed to long time requests from story lovers across the globe to celebrate “ Mother tongue” through stories. Mann Vaasanai is our unique production that we started in the year 2016 as a special segment that celebrates the language, lore and it’s people through stories. It truly was an amazing experience to see people connect from across the globe to just listen to stories in their mother tongue. Mann Vaasanai ( The smell of the earth) was truly Manadhil Mazhai ( a drizzle in the hearts of the listener’s)
Thanks to all who believe in my work. See you all soon with our April’s newsletter. Until then, Share and Listen to wonderful stories.
